Looking back at 100ish newsletters in 2025
Happy Friday my dearest darlin internet pals! I had all four wisdom teeth extracted yesterday (now am dumb as a rock, sad!) so I wanted to take today to a) recover by exclusively watching Home Alone movies and eating what is essentially a baby food diet, b) make bad jokes (see above) and c) take a walk down memory lane with y’all from 2025.
It was a banner year at Hot Tip HQ. Subscriptions in 2025 are up more than 700% from 2024, which feels like it would be a mathematical error on my part, but luckily Substack reports all that info to me. I wrote 96 newsletters this year, became a Substack bestseller, made ~cute internet friends~ and even did some merch exchanges, beat my nemesis Bill Maher (for one day, still counts) on the humor charts, and made this small biz I am taking a chance on feel really worth it, especially while the world is in such chaos. That is entirely thanks to you, the readers, and I am so grateful for you being here and laughing through the (currently physical, but mostly emotional) pain with me.
