Hot Tip is a news + culture catch-up that can serve as your politics download for the week, or just give you funny, interesting things to say at dinner parties.
I’m a comedy writer who used to work for real news organizations like ABC News and CNN and fake news organizations like Late Night with Seth Meyers. I’ve got equal amounts of passion for distilling the news as I do telling you where you must get a croissant in Paris; I’m an enthusiast — politics, tv, culture, food, travel, lifestyle — and I have no interest in keeping things to myself.
The world is quite bad at the moment (Constitutional crises, climate, general vibes) but there are also things that are very good (breakfast burritos, retinol, Ralph Fiennes doing “very demure, very mindful.”)
Hot Tip is all of that. The things you should know, watch, eat, buy, try, and tell people, every week.
It’s what my late night show would be, if I weren’t cursed with being a woman/not named Jimmy.
For paid subscribers ($5/month or $30/year), here’s what you can expect:
You’ll get a Hot Tip newsletter three times a week. As more shit meets fan, staying informed while maintaining sanity + giggles is crucial.
Weekly Sunday Recos, a bright spot of fun/interesting things to read, try, and watch as well as a look at the week ahead.
Some satire pieces to break up the monotony of news.
As always, access to the full archive and interview exclusives.
More to come as Hot Tip continues to grow.
If you like what you read, please share with friends. If you hate it, share with enemies. This is a numbers game.
