Hot Tip is a news + culture catch-up that can serve as your politics download for the week, or just give you funny, interesting things to say at dinner parties.
I’m a comedy writer who used to work for real news organizations like ABC News and CNN and fake news organizations like Late Night with Seth Meyers. I’ve got equal amounts of passion for distilling the news as I do telling you where you must get a croissant in Paris; I’m an enthusiast — politics, tv, culture, food, travel, lifestyle — and I have no interest in keeping things to myself.
The world is quite bad at the moment (Constitutional crises, climate, general vibes) but there are also things that are very good (breakfast burritos, retinol, Ralph Fiennes doing “very demure, very mindful.”)
Hot Tip is all of that. The things you should know, watch, eat, buy, try, and tell people, twice a week (usually Tuesdays and Fridays, but occasionally the news begets a shift!)
It’s my version of a late night show, if I weren’t cursed with being a woman.
For paid subscribers: First thing: I love you. Thank you. Second thing: You’ll also get a monthly digital magazine, Sunday evening links and recs, interviews, satire pieces, access to the entire archive, and more exclusive content as Hot Tip continues to grow.
